Qualification: 10+2 in any disciplines. 

Experience: 3-5 years of experience in working with community on social development.
                     Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) is preferable.

Age: Age limit 18 - 40 years as on 1.4.2021. Age relaxation for eligible candidates is admissible as per extant norms. 

Contractual Remuneration: 
Contract Period for 1 year. 
 Rs. 10,000/- per month (Consolidated).

1) On the basis of the application, only the shortlisted candidates will be called for interview/vivavoce test.

Nationality: Candidate must be a citizen of India.

Scheme of Examination: 

Exam Type: The Computer based examination will consist of one objective type paper containing 100 questions carrying 100 marks.

                 Elementary Mathematics = 25 Marks

                 English / Hindi = 25 Marks

Exam Duration: 90 minutes. 

After passed CBT the Candidate have to be passed more three test. 

  1. Physical Efficiency Test -- Race (5 km. in 24 minutes for Male & 1.6 km. in 8.5 minutes for Female) 
  2. Physical Standard Test -- Height (Male 170 cms. / Female 157 cms.) : Chest only for Male (unexpanded 80 cms., min. expanded 5 cms.) : Weight (Proportionate to height & as per medical Standards)

Job Profile: 

Branch Postmaster (BPM) 

The Job Profile of Branch Post Master will include managing affairs of Branch Post Office, India Posts Payments Bank ( IPPB) and ensuring uninterrupted counter operation during the prescribed working hours using the handheld device/Smartphone/laptop supplied by the Department. The overall management of postal facilities, maintenance of records, upkeep of handheld device/laptop/equipment ensuring online transactions, and marketing of Postal, India Post Payments Bank services and procurement of business in the villages or Gram Panchayats within the jurisdiction of the Branch Post Office should rest on the shoulders of Branch Postmasters.

Assistant Branch Postmaster (ABPM)

The Job Profile of Assistant Branch Post Master will include all functions of sale of stamps/stationery, conveyance and Delivery of mail at doorstep deposits/payments/other transactions under IPPB, assisting Branch Postmasters in counter duties using the handheld device/Smart phone supplied by the Department. He will also be required to do marketing, organizing melas, business procurement and any other work assigned by the Branch Postmaster or IPO/ASPO/SPOs/SSPOs/SRM/SSRM and other Supervising authorities. ABPMs will also be required to do Combined Duty of BPMs as and when ordered.

Dak Sevak

The Job Profile of Dak Sevaks will include all functions of viz sale of stamps and stationery, conveyance and delivery of mail and any other duties assigned by Postmaster/Sub Postmaster including IPPB work in the Departmental Post Offices/RMS. 


Time Related Continuity Allowances (TRCA)

The following Minimum TRCA shall be payable to the categories of GDS.

BPM    --- Rs. 12000/- (Min. TRCA for 4 hours / Level 1 in TRCA Slab)

                     Rs. 14500/- (Min. TRCA for 5 hours / Level 2 in TRCA Slab)

ABPM / Dak Sevak --- Rs. 10000/- (Min. TRCA for 4 hours / Level 1 in TRCA Slab)

                                             Rs. 12000/- (Min. TRCA for 5 hours / Level 2 in TRCA Slab)


Age: 

The minimum and maximum of age for the purpose of engagement to GDS posts shall be
18 and 40 years respectively as on 20.07.2021 the date of notification of the vacancies. 

Age relaxation
  • Schedule Caste/Scheduled Tribe (SC/ST) = 5 years
  • Other Backward Classes (OBC)                = 3 years 
  • Economically Weaker Sections (EWS)     = No relaxation
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD)                = 10 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + OBC    = 13 years
  • Persons with Disabilities (PwD) + SC/ST  = 15 years

Education Qualifications: 

(i) Secondary School Examination pass certificate of 10th standard with passing marks in  Mathematics, local language and English (having been studied as compulsory or elective subjects) conducted by any recognized Board of School Education by the Government of India/State Governments/ Union Territories in India shall be a mandatory educational qualification for all approved categories of Gramin Dak Sevaks. 

(ii) The candidate should have studied the local language at least up to 10th standard [as compulsory or elective subjects] as declared by the State Government. 

West Bengal (Other than Darjeeling Postal Division) : Bengali
Darjeeling Postal Division (other than GTA* Area) : Nepali/Bengali
Post Offices under GTA Area (Gorkha Territorial Administration) : Nepali

(iii) The candidates for all approved categories of GDS  will be required to furnish Basic Computer Training Course Certificate of at least 60 days duration from any Computer Training Institute run by Central Government/State Government /Universities / Boards / Private Institutions Organizations. 

(iv) Knowledge of Cycling is a pre-requisite condition for all GDS posts. In case of a
candidate having knowledge of riding a scooter or motor cycle, that may be considered as
knowledge of cycling. The candidate has to submit a declaration to this effect.


Application Fee for GDS Posts: 

Applicants belonging to the category UR/OBC/EWS Male/trans-man have to pay a fee of Rs.100/-(Rupees one hundred only) for each set of five options.Payment of fee is exempted for all female/trans-woman candidates, all SC/ST candidates and all PwD candidates.

Government of India Internship Programme || Ministry of Commerce & Industry Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade

 The Government of India Department for Promotion of Industry & Internal Trade has introduced an Internship Programme of Session 2021-22. The Ministry of Commerce & Industry Department has introduced this Internship Programme for the students pursuing Under Graduate / Post Graduate Degree or are Research Scholars registered in recognized Universities / Institution within India or Abroad. 

Internship Scheme by Government of India, Work from Home Jobs
The objective behind the Internship Programme is to give exposure to the students to understand the working culture of Govt. of India and to apprehend this internship scheme being run by the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India. 

Eligibility for this Programme: 
Applicants pursuing Graduation / Post Graduation / Research from any recognized University / Institution within India or abroad in the following fields are eligible to apply -
